What hours do you work?
A) 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday.
Do you provide 24hr call-out?
A) No. I provide emergency call-out until 22:00 Monday - Friday ONLY (No Weekends / Bank Holidays) and for Stevenage & Hitchin ONLY.
Do you charge an emergency call-out fee?
A) Between the hours of 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday there is no call-out fee. Between 16:00 - 22:00 Monday - Friday a £60 call-out fee is payable.
What areas do you cover?
A) Click here for a coverage map. Stevenage, Letchworth, Hitchin, Royston, Biggleswade, Luton, Harpeden, Welwyn Garden City, Ware, Buntingford and surrounding towns and villages.
Do you charge for Estimates?
A) All Estimates are FREE of charge and valid for 30 days.
How do I request an Estimate?
A) Call me to arrange an appointment, at a mutually agreeable time. I will visit you at home to discuss your requirements. An estimate will be posted to you,
normally within 5 working days.
How long from the Quotation being accepted and until the work starts?
A) Normally 2-3 weeks depending on the size of the job.
Will I need to take time off work while the work is being carried out?
A) No. As long as access has been pre-arranged
by either leaving a key or a friend or neighbour granting access.
Do you have any records of your satisfied customers?
A) Yes. They can be viewed on the 'Recommendations' page.
What methods of payment do you accept?
A) Cash, Cheque with a Valid Guarantee Card, Direct Bank Transfer / BACS, Bankers Draft.
Do you accept debit / credit cards?
A) No.
Do you add VAT to your prices?
A) No. 1st 4 Plumbing Ltd are not currently VAT registered and as such do not need to add VAT to the price.
Where can I find your full terms and conditions?
A) Full terms and conditions are printed on the back of estimates and invoices. They are also available upon request.
Do you carry out gas work?
A) No. 1st 4 Plumbing Ltd are not Gas Safe™ registered and therefore we do NOT carry out any kind of gas work.
Do you have public liability insurance?
A) Yes. 1st 4 Plumbing Ltd are covered by £1 million public liability insurance
